Hey everyone, it’s time for Thai Roast Chicken!

We’re taking a deeper plunge into the wild world of video. To start it off, we’re featuring a recent meal that we enjoyed at Cherng Doi Roast Chicken in Chiang Mai.

The food in Chiang Mai is some of the best and most unique in Asia, if not the world.

At Cherng Doi, the chicken has an amazingly crisp skin with a lovely golden brown bark yielding to perfectly juicy flesh. The restaurant also serves amazing Thai Green Papaya Salad (Som Tam) with a wonderful balance of spiciness and acidity and many other tasty dishes.

Cherng Doi Roast Chicken is located at Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai, Thailand in the Nimman neighborhood.

  1. Yum!!! thank you for letting me take a seat at the table with you, that video was great. That chicken certainly looked juicy and full of flavour.

  2. I was just living in Chiang Mai and this was my favorite chicken place! It’s so delicious and it’s the only place that I ever saw that deep fried papaya salad on a menu. Even though you’ve only been there a few days you’ve managed to find one of the best spots in town!

  3. oK so now I am feeling REALLY hungry – and it’s all your fault!

Chiang Mai is a great food city – especially if you love Northern Thai cuisine.

  10. Oh the heat debate. I always feel like something that’s about 4 stars per other people is 1 star. I love how Asian spices are so different to everybody.

  11. Interesting and a different way of presenting food on a video! Keep at it!
