When it comes to travel, failing to plan is the same as planning to fail.
These are the tools we personally use when we plan trips both near and far:
Amazon – While we like to shop locally, Amazon is a great resource when we want to buy travel guides in English. It’s also handy for travel adaptors and other travel gear.
Booking.com – Our days of winging it are over. The same goes for Airbnb apartments. We stayed in more than 50 Airbnb apartments when we were nomadic but then we got sick of uncomfortable beds and exorbitant cleaning fees. Now we mostly use booking.com to find both hotel rooms and apartments around the world.
Discover Cars – Rental cars can be expensive. We research the best rental car rates for our trips to destinations where we’ll be driving.
Get Your Guide – If you know us then you know that we’re not tour people. But sometimes taking a tour makes life easier. We book those tours through Get Your Guide and let them deal with the logistics.
Heymondo – We never travel without travel insurance and this is our travel insurance of choice.
Skyskanner – We typically research airfare using Skyskanner and then book flights directly.
TripAdvisor – We often look at TripAdvisor reviews of hotels and restaurants before making reservations. However, we take these reviews with a big grain of salt and you should do the same.
We may receive a small commission from some of these services if you make a purchase. Thank you!
