We had 19 hours and no restaurant reservations this past weekend in New York City – just enough time for another New York quickie. That could be a recipe for a culinary disaster, but, with a little creativity, we ate well without breaking the bank.
We love New York City on summer weekends. When locals clear out for the Hamptons and the Jersey Shore, it presents an opportunity to stroll the city streets without the normal throngs of people. That’s how we ended up at Dominique Ansel Bakery on one of the hottest days of the year.
New York is close to Philadelphia, so we often head up the turnpike for a New York quickie. What can we say? We love NYC!
