Khao Kha Moo. Chiang Mai Thailand. Cowboy Hat LadyCall her what you want – the “cowboy hat lady” or the “lady in the cowboy hat”. She’s out every night at Chiang Mai’s Chang Phuak night market near the Chang Phuak (a/k/a Elephant) Gate. Wearing her signature headpiece and a wielding a cleaver, she serves up some of the tastiest food you can eat for 30 baht or just under a dollar. We’re talking succulent stewed pork leg over rice served with an egg and flavorful sides like pickled mustard greens and garlic chili sauce.

We’re still trying to figure out why she wears a cowboy hat. But seriously, the Kha Moo stand in Chiang Mai has to be one of the best street food stands in the world. The food they sell really lives up to the hype!
